- Type: Nature & Wildlife
NileGuide Expert tip:
Located near Floyd Lamb Park in the Centennial Hills area. Inexpensive and family-friendly.
Description:
- In the early 1990s, the Gilcrease brothers welcomed a bird rehabilitation group to their property. Over the years, the Gilcrease Sanctuary has accepted many types of animals. The Gilcrease Santuary sits in a formerly-rural area of northwestern Las Vegas, and although the city has now reached the property, the preserve retains its farm-like feel. The entry fee is $5, and kids under 12 are only $1.
