• The American reality show, "Pawn Stars," is one of the History Channel's top-rated shows. It's been called a cross between "Antiques Roadshow" and "American Choppers," but however you describe it, it's certainly captured a lot of fans—and demystified how a pawn shop works. Since the show's success, visitors line up outside the store for a chance to get inside and see the Harrison family in person: the amiable Rick; his dad, the "Old Man"; Rick's son, Corey ("Big Hoss"); and Chumlee (technically not a Harrison, but a close family friend).  Even though the store has achieved fame and fortune, the Gold and Silver Pawn is still a working pawn shop, so you can bring in your valuables, should you find yourself short on cash. If you simply want to look around, you may have to wait a while. The Pawn Stars may appreciate their fans, but they've still got a store to run.
