• No journey to Grand Canyon is complete without experiencing the majesty of the Canyon from within and this Inner Canyon tour is a great way to get there. Depart from the South Rim in the morning and journey across the changing landscape to Grand Canyon Caverns, a unique and interesting subterranean formation 210 feet below ground. You will participate in an hour long guided hike through the cool underground cave system, learning fascinating and fun information about the geology and history of the area. Next you board an open air Jeep for a spectacular and impressive journey through time as you make your way to the Colorado River at the bottom of Grand Canyon. Canyon walls and formations rise overhead, and trees disappear to be replaced by cactus and the increasingly rugged Sonora desert environment. Take your camera as you can get great shots of the incredible scenery found here. When you reach the Colorado River at the bottom, you can pause for lunch and sightseeing before returning to the outside world.
