- The first leg of the journey leaves from Boulder City and flies you past Lake Mead and the mighty Hoover Dam. You'll then fly along the South Rim where two billion years of geologic history is carved into the walls, creating an ageless site. After landing at the South Rim you'll board a second plane to fly into Monument Valley to meet a Jeep for a guided tour, showing the towering mesas is a truly amazing experience, as you discover the aptly named Mittens and John Ford's Point (named for famed western film director John Ford.) You will stop for light lunch and then journey back to the plane where you fly back to the Las Vegas.
