      • 10. Rochers de Naye

      • At 6,709 ft. at the lookout, Rochers de Naye enables you to view Alps as far away as the Jungfraujoch on a clear day. There is an unforgettable view of most all of Lake Geneva, the mouth of the Rhone River and the Swiss and French Alps. You can either hike up (I recommend from Caux) or continue on the cogwheel train to the top.

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • With a city on Lake Geneva there is an unlimited amount of kids-friendly activities that focus on water; summer or winter! For a fun summer water park you have AquaSplash. Also from May to September there are excellent pools s in Pully with a different pool for every age and in Bellerive near Ouchy. For winter swimming you can go to Mon Repos pool.

Ouchy is by far one of the most active places for kids Equipment can be rented for different sports such as the foot paddle boats, skates, bikes, skateboards near the Chateau d'Ouchy and wind surfing equipment and water skiing activities can be arranged at the Surf Shop. Another huge shoreline recreational area is Vidy Park and Beach.

If you're trying to sightsee in the 12th c. part of the city and your kids are board, drop into Franz Carl Weber toys in the Place de la Palud. There is also a clock near the fountain nearby which has dancing figures and music every hour.

For something that probably only your kids will love, there is the Vivarium with snakes and other reptiles to entertain them.

Kids getting tired of the city? Take them on a train ride along the shores of Lake Geneva to Montreux. Then change to the old fashioned cogwheel trains that climb up the mountains to Rochers de Naye at 6,709 ft. offering an amazing alpine panorama. At the top there is a restaurant, Marmot exhibitions, glacier botanical garden and Mongolian Yurts in which you could spend the night!
