  • Ok, so you want to go out and have a good time. Whether you want to do it up big or hang low-key with locals, bars are a good place to start your exploration of Lima's nightlife and people. Either you are in Lima with friends ot if you want to go solo, these are the spots that get the good times rolling: they are good even for a date or to spend a ladies' night.

    Macarena bar's parties are becoming famous, due to its great DJ's and drinks: rumor has it you may find some of the prettiest girls in Lima here. But in general, if you are an 80's child you will love this place.

    Another good spots for party-loving spirits are Bizarro Bar and La Noche.

    Other places, more appropriate for a long conversation, are Huaringas Bar, full of open-minded people, and Bartini, located in Larcomar, that is believed to serve the best martinis in Lima.

    Other two recommendable places are Treff, the German Pub, Murphy's Irish Pub (yes, English spoken) and the gay-friendly Bobo bar, provided you arrive early, since parties and other scheduled events usually start around 10pm.

    If you are fond of jazz, Jazz Zone is for you, since they usually have good live music, either with local or visiting jazz musicians. And remember to stop by the old and traditional Taberna Queirolo, that offers a nice glimpse of times gone by.
