  • Hostels are usually places with communal kitchens, luggage lockers and shared areas. But in Lima, Peru, it also means a cheaper hotel, probably with less top-notch services but maintaining some basic quality standards, as well as a good customer service. And this is not a privilege of young backpackers only: you can enjoy the economical digs of Lima hostels. Meet fellow travelers while you stretch that budget and relax in the common room. That bunkmate just may be your new travel buddy.

    Almost all of these hostels are located in Miraflores, which is very convenient because here you can easily access services like banks, money exchange, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, travel agencies, and also get taxi or public transportation for almost anywhere in this big city. In addition, Miraflores is a quite safe area for tourists, and the municipal police has placed security cams in strategical spots, which has contributed to improve safety.

    Some of these places in Miraflores are Che Lagarto Hostel Lima, Dragonfly Hostels, Kokopelli Backpackers, Albergue Miraflores House, Link Hostel, Pukara Hostal, La Casa Nostra and Hostal Armendáriz.

    In the nearby district of Barranco we find D'osma Bed & Breakfast, a very good place very close to this bohemian district's trendy nightlife. Access to the Costa Verde beaches is also easy from here.

    In the other side of the city, actually very close to the Historic Downtown and to the Magic Circuit of Water, you can find La Posada del Parque Hostal, in beautiful traditional house located in a nice quiet area.
