  • The Plaza de Armas, or Plaza Mayor, concentrates the essence of old Lima, the City of the Kings. And there are some things that you will surely enjoy doing there, in addition to sightseeing and eating: you will find something appropriate for your personal preference.

The Old Catholic churches are impressive landmarks here, specially the Catedral de Lima, that is likely to be included in any city tour you book. You can also visit the Iglesia de las Nazarenas, that houses an image of the Lord of the Miracles, Patron of Lima: or the Convento y Museo de San Francisco and its catacombs, dated from the 1500's, where some 75,000 bodies are estimated to have been interred before the general cemetery was built.

Anytime, a romantic ride on the Calesas Clásicas is a relaxing choice after lunch, or after your excursion to the Cerro San Cristobal and its breathtaking view of the whole city.

For different, closer views of the city and the daily lives of its people, take a stroll along Plaza Italia, Avenida Nicolás de Piérola and Plaza San Martín (keep an eye on your belongings, though!).

After this, you may either want to see the local China Town, or take a Pisco Sour at the Bolivarcito, relaxing at the Gran Parque de Lima or maybe enjoying the Magic Water Circuit light shows.

And for nightlife, you must visit Brisas del Titicaca and enjoy their great folk shows!
