Many things happen every month, every week, every day in a big city like Lima. Let's take a look at some spots that we have reviewed recently for you: museums, parks, shopping centers, special places, outings, etc. Entertainment, souvenirs, art, culture, fun, nature, you name it, there's something for you.
If you are curious about ancient history, you should visit Huaca Pucllana and Museo Larco (which has been remodeled and improved) and book an expedition (with a good tour agency) to Checta, to see the petroglyphs. Another interesting educational place are the Ccori Wasi cultural center, where you will get a glimpse of different angles of the Peruvian culture and history, and the Sala Miró Quesada, which always features interesting modern art exhibitions.
Since you are still in Miraflores, you can take a walk through Larco avenue and get to Larcomar shopping center, which currently has some new attractions and restaurants; after a late lunch, you may want to continue to Barranco and visit Mocha Graña cultural center, and enjoy any exhibition or see what's on at the theatre for that night.
Barranco is close to Chorrillos, a district with a lot of history and with probably the best sunset landscape in the city, specially in summer.
The city zoo, called Parque de las Leyendas, has some additions, like a special place for sea animals and another special habitat for big cats. There are some new restaurants inside, but you still can take your picnic basket if you prefer it.
And Jockey Plaza is the trendiest place for shopping, with its latest addition, the new pavillion with some of the most exclusive and elegant stores in Lima.
