NileGuide Expert Says:
Pricey but top notch
NileGuide Expert tip:
Try also the "Arroz Chaufa Tailandés" (Thai fried rice)
Description:
- This restaurants offers specialties from three Asian cuisines: Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai; the menu offers more than 100 varieties of typical dishes from those gastronomies. Probably 70% of the specialties are Chinese, and the rest comes from the other cuisines. It is not a new place: opened in the early 90s, the star of the house is the Pekinese duck, reportedly prepared with ancient recipes originated during the Ching dynasty. The flavors here combine bittersweet, spicy and salty, and blend many exotic herbs and ingredients, specially coconut milk, green curry, red curry, lemongrass and basilic. Some recommendable specialties would be the Red Curry Chicken, the Thai Chicken, and their special creation, the "Anticucho Tailandés" (Thai brochette), made with beef marinated in peanut butter and milk. The desserts are also memorable, like the tapioca with coconut milk, or the fried banana with bean and wheat syrup. There is a parking lot nearby.
