• If you are visiting Lima you should visit its historic port. Callao was one of the most important port in south america during Spanish Empire in XVII century. Callao is in the middle west of Peru and you can find in there good food, like Ceviche (seafood). In Callao you can also see old architecture, bars, beaches and some islands in front of the bay. One of Callao s touristic Actractive is an hispanic Castle called Real Felipe. It was founded in XVIII century. This castle is in the front of the bay and it had been building to protect hispanic Lima city against pirates attacks. If you visit Real Felipe Castle you will know about its role during Virreynal empire and during Independence period. You will see the current Peruvian Army museum. Yoy will also enjoy the view of the bay, tow islands inf front of the port, some ships and the sunset at 5 00. Real Felipe Casttle is opened until 4:00pm. Cost of entrance is so cheap : 6 soles (2.3 US dollars). After your visit you can go to other acttractives: La punta Bay and its restaurants and bars.
