Description:

• Cantolao is a small stone beach located in La Punta district; it still preserve many beautiful houses from the early and mid 1900s; it is undoubtedly one of the city's loveliest and most traditional areas, and local residents are very proud of this. It is located opposite the Figueredo pier, and from here you will have an excellent view of San Lorenzo and El Fronton islands. As a beach, it has many fans, not only because it's clean and there is no sticky sand, but also because of its quiet, peaceful waters. There are still many fishermen here, and you will find their small boats resting on the shore during the day. You will also be able to see the Yatch Club, and the Naval Academy. You can easily get here using public transports, although that could be a slow trip; if you decide to drive, remember it is a little difficult to find parking spaces here.
