Description:
Lilies of the valley and ivy-covered ash, oak, and beech trees line the driveway leading from the village of Glin to this gleaming-white castle, home to the knights of Glin for the past 700 years. The vast estate sprawls over 160 hectares (395 acres) of sloping lawns, gardens, farmlands, and forests. The centerpiece of it all is, naturally, the castle -- which is really more of a Georgian house with added Gothic details -- but it's not possible to see inside unless you love it enough to spend the night .
