• When Austrians Christoph Hubmayer and Konrad Tretter decided to open a Viennese-style coffee house in the centre of the Portuguese capital the two young entrepreneurs caught the imagination of Lisbon's trendy urban set. Located in Chiado, a short walk from the Neo-Classical Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, this delightfully informal restaurant-café maintains its character by way of a single wall decorated with colourful Austrian music and theatre posters. The polished wood furniture helps percolate a warm, homely atmosphere. The central European flavour is accentuated by delicious wienerschnitzel (breaded veal cutlet) and sachertorte (chocolate cake) menu options. The list also includes healthy salads and fruit juices.
