Some of the rooms here cost less than a cab ride from the airport to the city centre.

Larger groups of friends will appreciate the top floor dormitory layout.
Located a short walk from Lisbon's vibrant Bairro Alto district, this is an ideal place to stay if you're travelling on a budget but still appreciate style and some comfort. More habitat than hotel, rooms here can accommodate 2, 3 or 14 occupants. The top floor is a mixed dormitory, with separate male and female bathroom facilities. Think wagon-lit
and you get some idea of the bedroom arrangements – individual compartments with locker, curtain and reading light. Very snug! The refreshing apple-green décor matches the mood – bright and breezy. The vibe is communal, the character irreverent. This is a young, friendly hang out that manages to maintain a whiff of sophistication about it. Blog or catch up on emails in the lounge or just relax with a drink under hanging lanterns on the outside terrace. Those seeking privacy and solitude should probably look elsewhere, and note that breakfast is not served. But accommodation here is some of the cheapest in the capital – and some of its most original. © NileGuide2011
