    • As its name implies, this mid-range property is a business venue as well as a popular tourist choice. A reliable 3-star standby, the Barcelona regularly attracts weekenders and those on a city break. In fact, guests often stay here as part of an all-inclusive package deal. The 125 rooms include 30 executive singles and five suites. The standard units are economically priced and comfortably appointed. The friendly, helpful staff help lend the hotel a pleasant and unpretentious air. There are no onsite leisure options to speak of, and amenities are thin on the ground. A big plus though is the hotel's proximity to the world-class Museu Calouste Gulbenkian and Praça de Touros do Campo Pequeno shopping and entertainment complex. Actually, Campo Pequeno is the nearest Metro station and links the area with the rest of the city. The hotel is within walking distance of Avenida da República and major bus routes.
