Description:
- Michelin recommends this upscale restaurant, which has garnered a reputation in Lisbon, and indeed across Portugal, as one of the city's finest seafood restaurants. A quick glance at the menu reveals why it's rated so highly. For instance, it's not everywhere that offers Iranian beluga caviar as a starter! The kitchen prides itself on cooking to perfection traditional Portuguese seafood dishes such as grilled sea bream with tartare sauce or sea bass in a pot with clams. The chefs here also add a dash of Gallic magic to the proceedings to produce signature dishes such as turbot court bouillon and a delicious soup starter, seafood bisque. The Atlantic lobster is the freshest you'll find anywhere, and for something different try the eel stew. There are some meat selections available and even these raise the culinary bar to new heights. Order the partridge with chestnuts for a taste of the country. Eating here is expensive but it's well worth the splurge, and the occasion is truly memorable. Reservations essential. © NileGuide 2011
Excellent tradition and a quality meal is what you will find in Gambrinus. The seafood has pride of place on the menu and there is an explanation on how to cook it. The quality is of course, unquestionable. The room is decorated in a refined style. - © wcities.com 2012
