  A stylishly understated interior design incorporating liberal use of polished wood and bamboo furnishings endows this modern restaurant with a touch of minimalist sophistication. Located in the northeast of the city, it's a little off the tourist map but the detour is worth the effort to sample Chinese delicacies such as roasted Peking duck which is prepared in several different ways. They make a delicious broth here using shredded Peking duck and served with pancakes. One or two surprises stand out on the menu. The tofu (bean curd) with tomato is healthy side dish that complements all sorts of main meals. And the garlic-soaked fried prawns make for a delicious entrée. The chicken with almonds is a succulent, crunchy treat. Other meat dishes include pork with oyster sauce and the favourite sweet and sour combination. The fish and seafood selection is limited but does include squid in spicy sauce. Try it with a side dish of salad with Chinese mushrooms and bamboo shoots.
