  Arguably the best Chinese restaurant in Lisbon, and certainly the most decorative – the interior of this popular eatery features a pond full of Koi carp and is decorated with wall murals depicting traditional rural scenes. Located in Estrela, an attractive and leafy neighbourhood set away from the city centre, the establishment's name gives a clue as to the type of cuisine listed on the menu. Try the egg flower soup! The regional specialities hail from the northern provinces and include a variety of noodle, dumpling and pancake selections. Vinegar and hot chilli dips add spice to the choice. The kitchen has conjured up some real surprises. Order the 'prawns on a nest', the Dutch Chinese pork or the Imperial chicken for a revelation. Signature dishes include a delicious mixed wok but note this dish requires 24 hours' advanced notice to prepare. Another speciality is Peking duck, served with pineapple. © NileGuide 2011
