RESTAURANTE BAIÚCA

  • User Review:

    • Baiúca is an old restaurant/ tavern located at Rua da Barroca in the heart of Bairro Alto. The restaurant has a cosy and provincialist atmosphere and everything inside its walls will take you on a journey related to fado and its tradition. Beyond the impecable service and the delicious starter: Pão Quente com manteiga (Fresh Baked Bread with Real Butter), you will find a full range of traditional portuguese meals such as Bacalhau com Natas (Creamy Codfish), Entrecosto com Migas (Ribs with Alentejo style mash), Pataniscas com Arroz de Feijão (Fryed Mashed Codfish with Bean Rice), Arroz de Pato (Duck Rice) and Arroz de Marisco (Shellfish Rice). A fine portuguese wine selection, mostly from Alentejo region, is also available and the prices are really fair. A Baiúca is open daily (except for tuesdays) from 07 pm to 01 am. Another Lisboa treat to authentic, portuguese style meals, cosy and friendly places to dine lovers
