  Eating at Valle Flôr is to dine in a 19th-century palace. Indeed, the elegant restaurant was one of the Grand Ballrooms of the Valle Flôr Palace, now the Pestana Palace, one of Lisbon's finest hotel properties. In fact there are two dining rooms here, both beautifully frescoed and ornately decorated with gilded wood and marble columns and overlooking the hotel's splendid gardens. The gourmet cuisine is traditional Portuguese with contemporary flourishes exemplified by main dishes such as red partridge consommé and desserts like apple tarte tatin and cinnamon crème brûlée with Muscatel wine sorbet.
