Quiet, out-of-the-way place to unwind and enjoy one of the highest vantage points in the city.

The number 28 tram passes through Graça and the stop is a ten-minute walk from the miradouro.

    Description:

    • The Miradouro Senhora do Monte, to give it its full name, is one of the most romantic viewpoints in the city. It's also one of the highest. The small terrace is located next to the 18th-century Our Lady of the Mount chapel in Lisbon's quiet, leafy Graça neighbourhood and affords a sweeping panorama that takes in the castle, the Graça church and much of midtown and downtown Lisbon. The view stretches as far as Estrela, Amoreiras and the Monsanto Park. The miradouro is located well away from the traditional tourist tracks but a useful reference point is the Albergaria Senhora do Monte guesthouse, which is just a short walk away. It's a steep climb to this charming little spot but the effort is worth it. Bring a picnic box and bag one of the wooden benches or the weather's good, arrive later for a spectacular sunset. © NileGuide2011 Miradouro do Monte is located in Graça, one of oldest areas in Lisbon. From this miradouro you can see the São Jorge Castle and the Tagus River. A charming place, full of olive trees, this vantage point is close to a small 18th-century chapel in homage to Nossa Senhora do Monte. To find the miradouro, take the number 28 tram from Martim Moniz square, situated in the city-center.
