Museu das Comunicacoes

Museu das Comunicacoes - Lisbon

  • Description:

    • Inaugurated in 1997, this museum offers the public a permanent display of the history of communication and the latest technology. As it is an offshoot of the CTT (Portugal's mail company), the museum is in possession of the first Portuguese stamp, along with other relics from the realm of Philately. There is also an archive with documents on the subject; the oldest dates back to the 17th century. Interactive activities with visitors are encouraged through the use of communication. For example, it is possible to learn how to use morse code. The museum's shop sells books on stamps and mobiles. It is also possible to get on-line through Netcabo.
