• Managed by Ritual Spa, The Retreat at Inspira Santa Marta Hotel is a relatively newcomer to the Lisbon day spa scene. The hotel, inaugurated in 2010, is the city's only Green Globe property, and actively encourages environmental sustainability. The hotel's architecture uses the principals of Feng Shui – the ancient Chinese system of aesthetics – to achieve a greater sense of balance and harmony throughout the building, and this design signature has been carried through to the spa. The Retreat uses lots of natural wood to achieve an empathy with Nature. Eco-friendly signature treatments include Egyptian Secret – a specially created facial using 100% natural products. The Ancient Tradition Scrub also uses organic and 100% natural ingredients. An eclectic range of massage and beauty treatments are complemented by aroma wraps and scrubs, hydrotherapy – try the Waterfall Dive – and specific localised treatments. Men-only facials, massage for mothers-to-be and even treatments for kids and teenagers enhance the menu.
