- Located just outside of Austin in Lockhart, Kreuz Market brings German style barbecue to central Texas. As a barbecue restaurant and market, Kreuz's attracts visitors year-round. Get in line to order the tender beef brisket, pork spare ribs or Kreuz's original jalapeno cheese sausage. Don't be surprised that Kreuz's Market doesn't provide barbecue sauce -- that's not German. Be prepared to use your hands too, as plasticware is only provided if you order one of the three available side dishes--German potato salad, sauerkraut or beans.
