Getting There
There are three daily RENFE (tel. 90-224-02-02; www.renfe.es) trains from Barcelona (trip time: 7 hr.) and one per day from Madrid (trip time: 3 3/4 hr.). From Bilbao in the north, three trains arrive per day (trip time: 2 1/2-3 1/4 hr.).
Five buses arrive daily from Pamplona (trip time: 1 hr.) and five from Madrid (trip time: 5 hr.). For information, call tel. 94-123-59-83.
By car, take N-111 southwest from Pamplona or A-68 northwest from Zaragoza.

The tourist office at Paseo del Espolón, Principe de Vergara 1 (tel. 94-124-43-84; www.larioja.org/turismo), is open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 2:30pm and 5 to 9pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm and 5 to 8pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm.
