Criterion Theatre

• The Criterion is a small theatre with only 585 seats, a fact belied by the magnificent 1870s façade and enviable theatreland location, smack bang in the middle of Piccadilly Circus. There is wheelchair access to the upper circle, where there are two seats reserved for wheelchairs and others for their companions.
  
  Home to the Reduced Shakespeare Company, the theatre mainly bills productions by this, "the other RSC", although it also hosts occasional concerts and gigs. Currently showing are "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" throughout the week and "The Complete History of America (Abridged)" on Tuesdays. This garrulous little company present an anachronistic and alternatively entertaining (if not a little tired) slant on Will's masterpieces.
