    Institution J Sheeky has been serving the public on this site for a century. Located in the heart of the West End, it is popular with the pre and post theatre crowd. The art deco gem pumps out champagne, oysters, fish & seafood for buzzing patrons. It is always packed so be sure to book a table to avoid disappointment.

    Bibendum Oyster Bar in Kensington attracts the posh set yet offers an affordable set lunch menu. Their tantalizing crustacea stall displays stunning shellfish to take away or at least photograph. Hix Oyster and Chop House is the East End's answer to top seafood. Set in a refurbished sausage factory, celebrity chef Mark Hix offers a mix of meat and fish.

    Borough Market, London's gourmet food market, boasts top rated fishmongers and matching seafood restaurants. fish! restaurant has views overlooking the market and a convenient take-away service next door.

    The list wouldn't be complete without the mention of the famous national dish of fish and chips. Debates over a best 'chippy' as they are affectionately called, have been known to divide families. Marylebone's Golden Hind is stuffed with locals enjoying the simple menu. Expect queues!
