Dark and quaint or stunning river views, London's top romantic restaurants are not limited to Valentine's Day and are certain to put any couple in a giddy mood.
Fabulous city views and celebrity chef status is surely enough to impress. Jamie Oliver and Adam Perry Lang's Barbecoa maybe all about meat but the views of St. Paul's Cathedral are so jaw dropping it may be difficult to concentrate on anything else. Michelin winner Gary Rhodes modern English food at Rhodes 24 is considered elegant with matching cityscape views of the Gherkin and Southbank. Perched atop the Park Lane Hilton is Mayfair's posh Galvin at Windows. Haute French cuisine with yet another Michelin star including extraordinary views of Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and London Eye.
Amaya is London's only Indian restaurant with a Michelin star and will having couples sharing small plates of food while checking out the who's who in London.
Gimmicky and tantalizing Dans le Noir? in East London's Clerkenwell will have you dinning in the dark. Former patrons include England's famed royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Tiny little French bistro La Poule au Pot in the quiet and exclusive Chelsea neighborhood known as Pimlico is consistently voted London's most romantic restaurant despite the authentic indifferent service. Be sure to cross the street to William Curley after your meal to top up on London's finest chocolates.
It can't get any more romantic than slurping down a dozen oysters at J Sheekey, London's best seafood restaurant, a post/pre theatre institution.
Not on our top romantic list but ought to be noted is Veeraswamy, London's oldest Indian restaurant. Decorated in dark yet vibrant colors with views overlooking the bustling Regent Street.
