Heaven will be a letdown after this. Imagine hall vending machines dispensing champagne or espresso makers providing complimentary café on every floor. This converted Victorian warehouse between the financial district and the West End features seven rooftop studios with patios and panoramic views of the London skyline, among other lures, including a sky-lit atrium flooding its core with natural light. Many of the features and "scars" of the original structure were retained, as tradition was blended with a chic, urban modern. Bedrooms, ranging from small to midsize, are spread across five floors. These accommodations open onto balconies that circle the atrium. Unplastered brick walls reach up to "floating" ceilings and customized wallpaper panels. Secondhand furnishings are set beside classic modern pieces. Designers achieved their goal of "a great bed, a great shower, and state-of-the-art in-room technology."
