Description:
- Don't be misled by the traditional pub exterior of the Anglesea Arms. The restaurant lies at the back of the pub and holds around ten tables. There are no fancy touches—the decor is simple and unpretentious. But with all the praise that it receives, the restaurant is constantly full—so do arrive as early as possible. It is quite difficult to pigeon-hole the cuisine—the gorgonzola gnocchi is surely Italian yet the ham, egg and chips couldn't be more British. The wines are well-chosen and reasonably priced. Nice setting but bad food and expensive
-
Big selection of tapas. Very busy. Seafood not good, better avoid it. Very expensive overall. Ok to have some tapas with your drink, not ok to have a proper dinner though.
