• Small, but perfectly formed, this restaurant is a firm favorite with locals and has stood the test of time. By day, this is a proper greasy-spoon serving breakfasts and Thai lunches, but at night it dolls up into an inexpensive Thai restaurant. The green curry dishes are great. Remember Thai food is hot and can seriously bring tears to your eyes, so check on the piquancy of dishes with your waiter. Try the Gaeng Pak or Penang Gai. A cheap night out but ever so fragrant, bombarding your palate with lime leaves, ginger, garlic, sweet basil, lemongrass and chilli. Cash only.
