Bubbleology - London
  • Cuisines: Asian, British
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Nothing like English traditional afternoon tea

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

    Stick with the tea

    Description:

    • The Taiwanese bubble tea craze from the 1980s finally hits London. Flavored fruit or milk tea is vigorously throttled in a shaking machine to form tiny bubbles then infused with chewy black tapioca balls. It's more like a meal than a drink. The starchy snack is meant to be sucked through the hosepipe of a straw and snacked on while drinking the tea. It's a bit like chomping on a gummy bear. The bubble shack also serves Monmouth Street coffee for the doubters and "cruffins", muffins or crumpets with a variety of spreads from Marmite to Nutella & an assortment of toppings.  Only in Soho, well outside of Tawan.
