Description:
- Chowki definitely stands apart from the scores of Indian restaurants that have mushroomed in the recent past. Chef Singh prepares a range of delicacies from the ubiquitous Punjab to Chettinad, Coorg and Assam. But half the fun is in watching the meal arrive in a bone china 'thali', where the colors (and flavors) of the dish come alive. Lamb Achaari, Dal Gosht, Chicken Chettiar, Prawn Patties, Uttapam, Gajar Halwa, et al reach epicurean heights. The rotating menu finds new dishes each month and the low pricing is absolutely gratifying. All in all, a nice place to find food critics among the 'desis' who always bump into a 'familiar' face.
