Description:
- Attached to the Electric Cinema, this groovy Notting Hill hangout is popular with both local celebrities and interlopers. Open from eight in the morning, the Electric serves an all-day menu jam-packed with interesting options for breakfast, brunch and full meals. Rosemary-sauteed mushrooms, eggs on toasted sourdough, smoked haddock and black pudding hash with mustard hollandaise, and crumpets with honey or Nutella are favored by the breakfast crowd. If you are here for a proper meal, you can indulge in a hot seafood platter for two, or keep it simple and order crab cakes and oysters. You may even fancy some pan-fried bream, a crispy duck salad, or a steak sandwich with chips. There's also a silver-domed trolley that serves dishes like roast sirloin of Scotch beef and Beef Wellington. One wishes the service was quicker but that said, this is definitely a good place to people-watch, meet friends and chill out. Be sure to reserve your table in advance, otherwise you will have to sit out at the bar and wait your turn over a Bloody Mary.
