    • You want the best steak? Ask an Argentinian (claro!). Time Out magazine voted Gaucho Piccadilly Best Steak House in London back in 2006 and the quality has not slipped since - in fact, like their steaks it has aged beautifully. It's not just the meat though that make a visit here worthwhile, leave room for all the other very tasty Argentine specials on the menu, not forgetting the teeth-melting desserts. The decor is luxurious and a hint decadent with its cowskin motifs. The wines are superb, and you can buy what you've been drinking to take home at reasonable prices. Below, Cavas De Gaucho is a specialist elegant wine boutique and bar, above is a supper lounge with live music and entertainment. There are several branches of  Gaucho around town but this is the flagship branch. Service is excellent, if sometimes a little over-attentive.

      A bit nouveau riche for me!
