Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley

Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley - London
  • Cuisines: French, European
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

    Afternoon tea is equally impressive

  • Description:

    • Clubby and not at all stuffy, this is the domain of Marcus Wareing, a former boxer from Lancashire. The restaurant serves a modern French cuisine in the grand tradition of Wareing's mentor (and London's hottest chef) Gordon Ramsay. You'll find excellent food prepared with market-fresh ingredients and technical precision, even a touch of whimsy, served in an opulent setting. The chef's set reflects his culinary ambitions. Start with tea-smoked mackerel and a duck-egg tart or else pan-fried foie gras with glazed black figs and hazelnuts. For your main, perhaps try the wild sea bass with sea urchin or the Dorset turbot with frogs' legs and lemon confit.
