Description:
No longer a stodgy choice for ladies who lunch, Odette's has been taken over by Bryn Williams, one of London's top chefs. He gained prominence when he won the fish course for Queen Elizabeth's 80th birthday celebration. Born in Wales, he still uses inspiration from that kitchen along with Gallic influences picked up on the Continent. In a contemporary setting of white tablecloths and white brick, Williams gives every dish his distinctive style. He proves his talent with such dishes as curried scallops with cauliflower purée, roasted wild sea trout with a pea and mint puree, grilled baby squid in wild garlic, or Elwy Valley lamb with pine nuts and zucchini.
