Patara - London

  • Description:

    • Situated across the street from PJ's Grill is the more staid Patara. Like PJ's, it's not as pricey as one would imagine a restaurant in this area to be, and it's a great place to visit before or after shopping in and around Brompton Cross. Word has got out about the superior quality of the Thai cuisine, and the Fulham Road branch is always crowded. Great spicy and delicious green curry and pad Thai are served here, as well as some rare treats like the fried catfish. Don't forget to start with appetisers such as the fried prawns and, of course, spicy prawn crackers. Another branch is at 9 Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge, SW3 (tel.: +44 20 7581 8820).
