- Located in Hatton Wall, between Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stations, this traditional London pub is a busy spot for business lunches, after-work drinks and city-style cocktail parties. The Hat and Tun attracts an old-school crowd of journalists, professionals and bon vivants, and the dining room itself is decorated with cherry red leather armchairs, wood-panelled walls and a crackling open fire. The kitchen is open for lunch,and serves bar snacks throughout the evening, and popular dishes include the steak and Guinness pie; the hot salt beef sandwiches on rye; and the British cheese board complete with oatcakes and quince. The bar has a superb selection of ales and lagers, and an impressive international wine list.
