- This is an excellent shop specializing in equipment for outdoor activities. It is joint venture between the Ellis Brigham chain of mountain sports shops, who have been going since 1933, when the first shop was opened in Manchester and The Snowboard Asylum chain. It contains a full range of ski, camping, trekking and climbing equipment and anything else you might need for your outdoor sports. It also contains a 28 foot authentic looking ice wall for enthusiasts to try out the clothes and equipment. This wall is kept consistently at –28Oc and they have fans available to reproduce the wind chill effect.
