NileGuide Expert tip:
Take a leisurely canal boat from the zoo to Little Venice or opt for nosing around the swanky Primrose Hill neighborhood with gorgeous home and abundant cafes
Description:
- The Regent's Park offers a variety of facilities and amenities for the public to enjoy. The vast 410 acres enncompass the rose garden where over 30,000 roses are grown. The grounds also include tennis courts, numerous playing fields and six newly designed running paths for beginner, intermediate & advanced levels. Children have 4 playgrounds to chose from and the London Zoo is nestled into a corner of the park. Pedalos and row boats are available to hire on the lake. Regular summer concerts are held at the bandstand and the Open Air Theatre runs an outstanding summer series of shows and plays for children of varying ages, bookable in advance.
A short walk away is Primrose Hill, the park and the neighborhood. The hill is popular with young and trendy families, actors, artists and other media folk. It is particularly steep and offers numerous hip bars and restaurants and a superb panorama of the London skyline. Ideal for kite flying and sledding in winter. - © wcities.com 2013
