Hi. Ok..if you mean by city centre as the tottenham court road area..then if you can get a train from Gatwick Airport to Charing Cross Station that would be better for you...I think weekdays it'd take about 40 mins, and at weekends about an hour. If you mean going into the actual city of London (it the old part) then you'd get a train from Gatwick going to London Bridge Station, which again can take anything from 40mins to an hour..depending on which day. Hope that helps? Ask away if you need anymore info....

Save 10% on the Gatwick Express train ticket by booking it online. Tickets can also be purchased from a ticket machine at the train station which is located in the airport. The train is much quicker and cheaper than a taxi.

Distance is not important unless you are bringing your bicycle. Look at https://www.gatwickexpress.com/index.asp?SID={C1B79750-00D3-4C98-96E7-A42A13D940FF} for details of train to London Victoria which is in the centre of London with connections to the suburbs.
