I would suggest Amsterdam because it is very pretty and diverse and there are loads of things to do. Rome, especially because one second you'll be in a modern, busy road, the next in the middle of some ruins. Barcelona as there is a perfect mix of city-life, beach and culture. The Gaudi exhibitions are very cool, as is the Ramblas with its markets and street artists. Copenhagen is also recomended and if you like theme parks there's a Tivoli in the centre of the city. Lisbon is also beautiful and also right next to a long stretch of beach. London is good: very busy, but loads of cool shops and there's always Madame Tussauds and other famous attractions. Also Athens, York, Naples, Florence.

In Italy I would recomment Rome, Naples, Turin and Venice. You could catch the ferry over to Greece where Athens is a standard good place to see and then there are the numerous Islands. Santorini is beautiful- where Mamma Mia was filmed. Ljubljana in Slovenia is very cool and Prague is amazing too.
