Hi Jennifer
if you don't have access to the internet, you can get for free a London Underground map from any London Underground station and for an excellent map of London, There is book called 'London A-Z Street Map'these can be purchased for a few English Pounds(Sterling), from any news agent shop or even online before you arrive from companies like Amazon.co.uk, the 'mini" version of this book would be more than sufficient for your needs.
