Description:
On the outside, Akbar isn't much to look at with its brown stucco facade and simple (almost imperceptible) sign. Step inside, though, and you'll find one of the city's more moody and elegant rooms. Friendly barkeeps ply the patrons with cocktails from behind the arabesque mirrored bar, and an astonishingly diverse CD jukebox is filled to capacity with tunes old and new. This is a mixed bar that's predominantly gay, but always comfortable for straights.
