• Chef Hideo Yamashio makes a change from the upscale ventures of his first restaurant, Shiro, and instead opts for a more casual vibe with his second restaurant, Orris. Yamashio, who has worked under Wolfgang Puck, combines fresh ingredients in a "West meets East" tug of war, as European and Asian elements are mixed and matched, then served up as small plates. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and chic, with jazz playing quietly in the background. What you will find on the menu: cold dishes (Thinly Sliced Beets with Basque Sheep's Milk Cheese), hot dishes (Ravioli filled with Shrimp Mouse and Shiitake Mushroom Sauce) and seasonal specials (Grilled Quail with Italian White Beans). Limited free parking behind the restaurant is available as well.
