• This relaxed and intimate bar, formerly known as Vine Bar, is espoused by many as their local favorite. The Saint is found on Vine Street, well off the main Hollywood drag. This, together with its unobtrusive front, ensures that the place is never too crowded. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, with cushy seating and an upstairs mezzanine for further privacy. The bartenders project refreshingly down-home friendliness and lack of guile, the likes of which are hard to come by at a Hollywood bar. Easy street parking here on the quieter side of Sunset may make Saint particularly attractive on a Friday or Saturday night, when street spots around Hollywood Boulevard are all but impossible to find. But the main reasons to come here are the good cheer, genuine laid-back vibe and modestly priced - though generously sized - drinks. -Kate Sobol
