Description:

  • When entering the cozy little nook of LA's only Bulgarian restaurant, patrons will find a small, simple space with white walls and a few travel mementos. The food is a mix of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Eastern European cuisine. Yogurt, which is said to have originated in Bulgaria, is at the center of most of the dishes. Specialties include vita banitca, a bread made of filo dough filled with cheese, eggs, and spices, fried zucchini with yogurt-garlic dip, stuffed bell peppers, pork tenderloin rolls and lamb kebab. Don't leave without getting a piece of their house-made garash cake, a delight made of meringue and chocolate!
