Description:

  • This non-profit organization is dedicated to caring for abandoned farm animals, and the refuge itself is a veritable paradise. Bring your kids along to meet a whole lot of four-legged, furry and feathered friends who share this 26-acre sanctuary. It's hardly possible not to bond instantly with a pair of large, loving eyes; you might even consider taking home a friend for life! All donations made to this organization go entirely for the upkeep of its residents and might even be tax deductible - they function solely on support from volunteers and benefactors. Events are held here, aimed at increasing awareness towards cruelty to farm animals. If you are so inclined, you can also volunteer at the shelter, which hosts a weekly Farm Chore Day for kids above 16 and adults. Put on your overalls, boots and aprons, and get down to cleaning out stables and filling dishes with feed. What better reward than a cheery woof, cluck, moo, mew or a big, wet "thank you" lick!
